Remember how dominant he was defensively early in the season? Teams were afraid to put up anything near the basket.

The first 5 minutes of the Indiana game he was the best player on the floor. Wasn't close.

He seems like such an exceptional young man. I can't imagine that it's easy, even with the perks afforded to athletes, to be secluded on campus right now and be going through a very tough rehab.

He could be the best rim defender UConn has ever suited up - his reactions are so quick
He needs a ton of work on his offense, especially his handle and using both hands. As I indicated in another posting, the kid lights it up from the perimeter in practice but seems to get the "yips" during game situations. Hopefully he can snap out of that.
He is a quiet sort but once he gets talking he is very poised and insightful

Really gonna be tough to beat Thabeet in that department. He's one of the best in the history of the NCAA. Two time national DPOY. The respective players just go about it differently.

For me, one of my personal highlights of last season was how Madison Square Garden roared early in the first half of the Indiana game when Akok knocked down a three.
