That is 62%, for cryin' out loud. And UConn made only 12 of them (29%), despite the flurry at the beginning of the second half. So the three-ball accounted for less than 50% of their points while constituting over 60% of their offense.
Overall, UConn was 28 of 66 (42%) in field goal shooting. If you do the arithmetic, that means that they made 16 of 25 shots from inside the 3-point line (64%).
UConn committed 17 fouls, while Georgetown committed only 8 -- you are not going to get fouled if you are almost always jacking up 3's.
UConn attempted only 10 free throws, while Georgetown attempted 19.
Apparently even Geno was quoted after the ND game as saying that his team took to many 3's in that game. It was much worse against Georgetown.
