Batouly Camara got a token second for Guinea as they lost three games to get eliminated (I am assuming injury is involved as she would otherwise be a key player for them):
Batouly CAMARA (GUI)'s profile - FIBA Women's AfroBasket 2021 - FIBA.basketball

I am assuming that she played in the qualifiers a few months ago, which they actually lost to Cape Verde only to get an invitation with not enough teams playing, but I have not seen stats for those two games.

For countries with less full time professionals, they still often need to call in players who no longer regularly play organized basketball so Batouly could still be involved for years to come.

South Sudan made their debut in qualifying and I wonder where Piath fits in with players that they may want to have involved in their team in the future.

A lot of the other countries in Africa will be looking at the situation regarding Nneka Ogwumike and Elizabeth Williams as Kenya probably wishes that ONO did not play in the 2019 AmeriCup in the event that she might have been easily available to recruit in the future.

This tournament is still in progress with the finalists advancing to World Cup qualifying in February.
