Great info by Carl! Stacey Wetzel? There is a name from the past. She was a senior when Rebecca was a frosh...my first year of UConn fandom.
She was tall [and blond I think]. Kathy Ferrier was on that team...maybe 6'6". Rebecca came off the bench that year.
BTW: elsewhere Carl reports that Shea's Mom [Marsha Lake] used to look for coins on the way to the arena when Shea played for UConn....the coins
being good omens. Well...in Nashville she was headed to the arena and she found 8 cents with still one block to go. She thought to herself...'Game Over'.
