She sounds as though she is a great kid. Best of luck to her in the next two years, and then a hearty WELCOME to UCONN!!

It's clear that being the best basketball player she can be is very important to Courtney. I'm sure she's going to get the most out of her college education she can while at Storrs, but if you're coming to CT from Arizona when you had warm weather and academically elite institutions interested, you're damn serious about basketball. And that's awesome for all concerned.

Note that a few Ivy League places were on her list. She must be one smart cookie, too.

Ekmark was not even born when UConn won NC#1 in 1995.

Damn that makes me feel even older.

Thanks Milford. Classic jump shot form, one of the first things I look for, and she appears to have it.

Looks like she was matched up with Miss Calhoun when they played CTK. Says a lot about her defense.. I will check out the videos later... Intrigued by the possible comparisons to Ann Strother.

She likes bacon and we see how well that has turned out for BG. I'm predicting big success based on that alone. Breakfast of champions!

How many girls of her age can quote John Wooden? That is a sign that she has great respect for the history of the game. She sounds like a terrific young lady.

Indeed, but the positive to that, though, is that girls being recruited today never remember a time when UConn wasn't a dominant program. They were born after UConn had firmly established itself as a national power, probably started watching in earnest when TASS+D were going 39-0 and started formulating their college plans a bit as UConn was going on a 90-game winning streak. That's huge.

I agree. This is what I hope BG's years do for Baylor. I hope that some of the great young post players are watching BG and want to go to Baylor to continue the tradition. Maybe 6-7 McCowan from the 2015 class is watching BG and wants to follow in her size 18 footsteps.
