Nice article! Gabby seems to be coming along just fine. I think she will be ready for the start of the season.

Sounds good. Thanks.

If Gabby thinks it's going well, that's good enough for me, because she sets the bar pretty high for herself. :)

I think UConn and Williams would both benefit from her Red Shirting and sitting out her freshman year. It would give her knee time to fully heal as well as her to have a full season to shake off the rust.

Email Geno, her physicians, and her parents...they need to to be advised of this astounding wisdom...

I do believe you were wrong on your diagnosis of KML being out for the year after her Stanford injury and than your advice to red shirt her. And than your opinion that we saw the last of her after the mono diagnosis! Oh boy, I fear for your patients.

If our doctors and Geno took your advice, it could have cost us the title. Talk about medical malpractice!

I'll leave it to Gabby, her family, our coaches and doctors to decide what is the best path of return.

I do suspect that Gabby, like KML, will have a stronger stomach when faced with adversity. Certainly stronger than the Boneyard doctors.

Don't worry her father already knows and is hoping that Gabby will red shirt this year.

Thank God. I was waiting for the doctor of the board to weigh in.

I do believe you were dead wrong on your diagnosis of KML being out for the year after her Stanford injury and than your advice to red shirt her. And than your opinion that we saw the last of her after the mono diagnosis! Oh boy, I fear for your patients.

I'll leave it to Gabby, her family, our coaches and doctors to decide what is the best path of return. I will certainly not listen to the wannabe doctors of the internet. Many who if we took their advice, KML would have been unavailable during some tough March games that we may have lost without her.

[mod edit]

I do believe I was wrong about the severity of KML's injury but never suggested she be redshirted.

I really don't care if you listen to me or not. God forbid I have an opinion different than yours an express it. There is an IGNORE button for a reason. [mod edit]

SF is on a roll...he also said that Butler was going to Virginia...have to admire consistency when you see it...

It's really great that some of our fans are so close to recruits families that they can give us first hand reports right from the horses mouth, so to speak. I did not realize we had so many fans who were good friends with recruits and their families!

It is right here in writing for anyone if they just read it. I am not good friends with anyone just have the common sense to read what is reported by Fuller.

Getting the surgery done now gives Williams plenty of time to recover and be ready for the start of her freshman season at UConn. However, he father would prefer that her debut with the Huskies would be put on hold for another year.

"I hope that they redshirt her, why rush it?" Matt Williams said. "That is totally up to the coaches, they are the experts and they will know the recovery, they will be with her hand in hand. If she can play, she can play but I am sure they are not going to put her in jeopardy. If she is ready to play, she will play but if she is not it will best for her to sit out."

Here is the link to the entire article if you don't believe me.

Couple of questions: 1. One of the notes I have relating to Williams is dated last Sept and says "rehab going very well" and "stronger than ever." Thought is was her dad talking. So, I'm confused about the time line here; would that have been regarding the injury which did not require surgery (per SAWX link) , or was there also an earlier surgery? I had been under the impression that she did have two surgeries for ACL.

2. In the content of the Adamec article, I don't find much clear indication that she is "pleased" with how it is going? What am I missing? And I do recall a very recent account of a twitter where she is talking about the "hell" of rehabbing from surgery.
