1000 points, 750 rebounds, 500 assists, 250 steals ......

...... and her most significant contribution may be the mentoring of KML.

The one known for her shot will also be known for her hard work. Hmm. Kaleena sounds like Maya again. :)

“I’m sure my teammates were fed up that I missed three layups before that. I’m glad it was at home. I’m glad my family was here to see it. I’m glad my teammates approached it the way they did. It’s hard to find a whole team that’s willing to do something like that to get someone a personal goal. I had every single person doing everything and anything to get me the ball and get me open. You don’t find that often.

BTW: in the article itself...not online....Carl mentions that Sadie Edwards was at the Seton Hall game.

Thanks for posting this. Ms. Faris is yet another in a long line of UCONN women
who've played the game the way it was designed to be played. She is one of my favorites and we are really going to miss her.

“I’ve always wanted to emulate my game after her. Even just as a person, I’ve wanted to be like Kelly,” Mosqueda-Lewis said. “I feel like if I emulate that or even get close to it I’m going to be a great player here at Connecticut and a great person after I leave.”

We're so lucky to have, not only great basketball players at the University of Connecticut, but great students, and great people...
