I just love the fact that after Gabby finished 5th in the 2012 Olympic trials in the high jump
the Haywood Field crowd [University of Oregon] gave her a standing O. I had the good fortune to attend our 1980 Olympic track trials there [the year we did not attend due to President Carter's boycott] and that crowd has the reputation of being the best in track and field in the land. It's a great town for the sport.
Bet Gabby gets a few standing O's in Storrs.
Hopefully two more to add to the class....Kia and A'ja.
