Talk about being in good company. Caron was hotter than a pistol that year. Almost carried us over Dixon, Baxter, Blake & Co in the elite 8.

And Griffin was like a one or two pick, I think. Not trying to compare the two as Griffin was an out of this world athlete at the time. But Adama is not even expected to be drafted in either round one or two. Hopefully, he will make money playing somewhere when he is finished at UConn. You can just tell he is a hard worker and does not look for or need spotlight. Maybe he was just getting to the locker room late because of the interview everyone is talking about, but when Hawk was stamping us into the sweet 16 Sanogo was standing in the background. He reminds me of Okafor the way he handles his business and the maturity he brings.

The truly amazing part is that he did this in a total of 52 minutes of playing time. 25 against Iona and 27 against St. Mary’s. Not going to spend time calculating the per 40 minutes numbers, but I am sure those numbers are outrageous.

They did and we did not have a counter to it. That was the January swoon. We developed strategies to neutralize that strategy. It took time to learn and perfect but we are there now! So opposing teams have to pick their poison.

I don't care if I'm repeating myself but Adama is the foundation, the rock, of this team. The only thing stronger on our team than Adama's physical presence is his mental/emotional fortitude. He leads by example like Emeka. He talks to his team mates like Caron although in Frenglish. He is a warrior like Jeff Adrien but with better control of his intensity.

Hurley had this understanding of Adama preseason. He declared we would ride Adama strength as far as he could take us even before the first game was played. And he was right! More than carrying opposing players on his back is that he carries this team on his back.

We are lucky to have him. Enjoy watching him. We will miss him when he is gone.

Adama is as if not more dominant than Emeka was for UConn. I understand that is heresy and Emeka was maybe a better defender but Adama is more productive on offense it seems. No NBA team wants him huh?

Wow. A 26 minute difference, which is exactly what Adama averaged in the first two games.

Thats incredible. It’s literally as if Caron needed an entire extra game to get those 3 extra points.

Which just underscores how efficient and how active Adama is.
