Quite a disparity between Jurich and everyone else.

Looks like UConn hired at the market rate. Just because you pay more doesn't mean you get more.

Alabama just hired their new AD at $600K-$700K.

Judging by his bio, he may have given a hometeam discount.

Not always, but in this case UL did get more.

Do you think that was more to do with Jurich, or more to do with Florida State?

Probably a lot of both.

Jurich was a bigtime guy with a great rep even before last fall. Plus he has been there a long time. If you took a CUSA school all the way to the ACC, then you would get paid too.

Honestly, some of you people sound like you started paying attention 4-5 months ago.

71 years old.

A snippit of his bio from the ESPN article.

Battle was the founder of Collegiate Licensing Company and served as the company's CEO until 2002. He also served as chairman of the board of Licensing Partners International, which, along with CLC, was acquired by International Management Group in 2007. Prior to starting CLC, Battle held a number of positions at Circle S Industries in Selma, Ala., where he helped extend the company from earning $12 million in annual sales to 10 companies earning a total of $60 million.

I read that. Maybe it's a dream come true for him. At the same time, quite rare for 71 year olds to be paid very highly.

Battle played for Bear Bryant and Bryant (personally) and Bama were his first client when he started CLC. He has had numerous business ventures with Paul Bryant, Jr. over the years. He is 71 but believe me he looks and acts 20 years younger. I'm surprised he is getting paid anything. He really does not need the money.

If we had something like the Yum Center under construction that may have helped our cause as opposed to just the AD being blamed.
