Contract Restructured, Benedict Wants Big Things For UConn

We can only hope this significantly reduces the chances of AD Dave going back to Auburn when Jay Jacobs' resignation officially goes into effect on June 1st of next year. From what we have seen so far, Benedict has been the best AD we have had since Lew Perkins - and if we have any chance of getting out of the AAC in the critical 5 to 10 years ahead, we must have him or someone like him leading the charge, both publicly and behind the scenes.

For those interested he is currently considered 1 of the 2 or 3 leading candidates for that Auburn AD job by those in the know down in Alabama...

Well we do have Goetz here as an assistant and AFAIK thus far she has seemed fairly competent as far as assistant ADs go, not the worst “next woman up” if AD Dave were to bounce.
