Dolson & Quigley both absent again for Chicago. Quigley had been listed as questionable, Dolson as doubtful.

I love that Quigley's street clothes look like she is another assistant coach whereas Stef looks like she is ready for the club. MoJeff on the Aces bench is somewhere in between.

Wish all 3 were playing but still excited to watch A'ja, KMac, Plum and Allen against my Sky.

Chicago just doesn't have enough shooters and Quigley being out doesn't help that. Copper and Deshields simply not accurate enough.

Wilson and Williams have been matched up so far. Fun battle to watch.

A'ja is working over the Sky. Too big for Williams and too quick for Cheyenne Parker. 12 1st quarter points in 8 minutes so far

Watched last six minutes of the half. For the Sky, too much create your own shot. Gabby in for the entire six minutes, and by my count received one pass (might have missed one in my count). No such thing as pick & roll. Must be frustrating.

Gabby and Diamond both need to practice shooting relentlessly.

Gabby does a lot of great things but she hurts spacing on offense.

Diamond gets to her spots and draws fouls but she can't hit jumpers.

For all but the last minute or two of the first half, the Sky defense was horrendous. The Aces have 20 assists on 21 made baskets -- not too many defenders are getting in the way of passes.

Someone mentioned wanting to limit offensive rebounds. The Aces don't have any, but they've only missed 14 shots.

Quite true-- they don't get in passing lanes, and the one-on-one is more like one-on-none.

Turned into a pretty entertaining game between two teams that can't stop each other.

Hamby drains a 3 to cut it to 1. Faulkner answers right back with a 3. 41 seconds left.

Hamby scored 24???? She had 14 in 14 minutes in their win the game before. Someone’s put some work in.

With the caveat that correlation =/= causation, some fun with plus-minus.

A'ja Wilson (22 pts, 5 reb, 2 blk) was +6 but limited to 22 minutes by foul trouble. Nia Coffey (6 pts, 6 ast) was +4 but sprained her ankle mid-game and only played 13 minutes. Aces could have used more minutes from both.

Lindsay Allen and Kelsey Plum split the PG duties for LV. Allen was +3 in 25 minutes (2 pts, 8 ast, 2 to). Plum was -10 in in 16 minutes (11 pts, 2 ast, 0 to).

Hamby had 24 pts (11-13 fg) and 6 boards but was still -10 in 24.5 minutes.

Kelsey Bone was -12 in 9 minutes. JiSu Park was +9 in the 13 minutes. Swords was -3 in 11 minutes. At least in this game, Park was the Aces' best answer at center. Would think Vegas is a lock to draft either McCowan or Brown next year if they have the opportunity.

Diamond (25 pts, 6-18 fg, 11-14 ft, 6 reb) was +16 in 34 minutes. Guess things really went sideways in those other 6 minutes. Gabby was +7. Cheyenne Parker (20 pts, 13 reb, 3 stl, 2 blk) was +10.

As a reminder, Dearica is Olivia Nelson-Ododa's sister-in-law.
