ACC WCBB Salary and Win Percentage and #1 is who you would expect!

Below is the ranking of all 15 ACC Coaches (plus MM!) SalRK shows the coaches salary rank among all 65 P5 schools along with their Winning % among all P5 Coaches. I also added “School” to represent what # job this was. Interestingly, the ACC has 6 coaches who earned their 1st Job in a Power-5 program! Overall, 15 of the 65 coaches are in their only job as a coach to represent 23% of all coaches first time coaching gig was at a P5 School!!!

I also did some estimates on the 6 coaches whose salaries were not published. I did this by using various media reports, schools history and coaches history. These are in YELLOW. Also of note is Sue Semrau is still not extended and she ranks 7th in the conference in Win% and tied for 5th in Salary. Again, with MM retiring, her #1,377 Mil salary now lowers the ACC from 2nd to 4th on the P5 list.

Like you noted, on the surface JPM looks like a winner, however just scratch it a little and you can see bondo all over the car. Now add in poor recruiting for 2 years, the best class in years graduating and transfers leaving and the next couple of years could be ugly. Is the AD savvy enough to see through this charade? I guess the same could also be said for Sue Semrau who for all the various "press accolades" at times, I am simply not seeing a coach capable of a Final Four run, but then again, she only makes 70% of what JPM makes...

This list did have me rethinking about Meier, Fortner and Hoover (worse than I thought) and has me thinking that if I was Jeff, I am certainly not worried about anyone save Wes and maybe Niele. I also might even send the Duke AD the link to this thread to show him how elite JPM is when compared to her peers. Let's bring out the incumbent chant "4 more years, 4 more years"
