Remmber when UCONN was left to be picked up out of a garbage can to go to the AAC? Syracuse, Louisville, BC, Pitt…all riding high and basking in their great new ACC memberships. BC was already toast is sports but those other programs were national powers in basketball. Notre Dame even was coming on. Look at them now. Any of them in the top 25?
I remember my friends who are Cuse and Pitt grads telling me how we were screwed and they were all going to the next level in hoop with Duke and Carolina. How’s that workin’ out? It was all about football money I get it but still.

It's probably an awesome atmosphere and crazy to play in but it reminds me how much i cant stand the duke fanbase. Might also because my last job had one the biggest douches on the exec team that graduated Duke in 08' that reminds me exactly of them.

In our community there’s an ENT/plastics surgeon who was a walk on for Duke for four years. Gotta say I’m envious. I’ll have to see what years he was there, likely mid 90’s or early 2000’s.
