IMO All Tournaments should Allow Fans. Determine the capacity percentage based on Covid Rates where Tournament is held.

Agree!!!! We've packed every Walmart, Target, and Wegman's for an entire year, and all policies except masks, have gone out the window at every single one of them.

I know some will disagree with me, but as a small business owner who has had their entire life turned upside down this past year, the hypocrisy of this is just staggering. There is a way to safely have fans everywhere. These kids deserve this, we deserve this, and some normalcy has to start returning or we're all going to be walking zombies.

On the other side is a number of teams expect to or hope to be seeded in the NCAA or WNIT. Any covid could take them out. Two sides - not picking one.

My feeling was after everyone lost out on the National Tournaments last year. The. Conference Tournaments don't need to be played. That just creates another opportunity for good teams to be taken out for a positive test.

That is a concern but probably has little to do with fans. So far, even in situations where fans were permitted, they have been kept far, far from the teams. Which I firmly support.

I agree with others that (some) fans can probably be safely permitted. That said, I know I wouldn't go, since I won't be vaccinated in time. I prefer not to risk it. But I think, except for the issues surrounding traveling in the first place, attending a limited-attendance game with protocols in place, would be as safe as anything else we do.

Before the governor issued new guidelines, I got a letter from the ACC earlier in the week explaining the situation of only allowing student-athletes family and friends tickets. They thanked me for being a VIP fan and supporting the tournament through the years. Even sent me a "limited edition" ACC face mask to wear.

After the announcement I wondered how they would do the ticket situation with such short notice, and how many fans they would allow. The Coliseum holds 22,000, but for the women's tournament its reduced to around 11,600. At a reduced capacity of 15 percent..... I'm interested to see if they will open up the whole arena so they can fit in more people.

Unfortunately for the first time since 2005..... I won't be able to attend
