I know the point you're trying to make here, but I was at MSG for the UConn/DePaul game so just letting you know MSG was pretty damn empty at the tip of that game too...

There were barely more than that at the UConn/DePaul game. Again, I was there in person. The place was a crypt at tip-off.
Some of you guys on this board are just plain silly. If (hopefully "when") the ACC comes calling UConn needs to jump ship immediately, even if the ACC plays their conference tournament in Albuquerque.
And when SMU is playing Houston at noon on Tuesday next year let's see how many people are in the seats at MSG then...
The ACC has had well documented attendance problems all year, especially at Conte morgue. And this is a game involving NC State. We may jump ship to the ACC, but that will not be on the account of basketball, its a football move. You can't duplicate NYC atmosphere in Greensboro, and it won't be a better tournament than what the Big East had.
When Uconn gets there and plays Syracuse it will be the only time they have a packed arena except for North Carolina and Duke. We both probably have more people living in Acc country then they do. Good luck in the NCAA hope to see you in New Orleans.
Honestly if the ACC is going to rotate their tournament they might as well just rotate it between Greensboro, Charlotte and Raleigh. Having it anywhere south of North Carolina is a disaster.
Edit: Actually anywhere north of North Carolina is going to be a disaster as well.
