ACC has record attendance year in BB despite BC

Only 6 of the 12 teams average 8k+, BC at 4200. Note in 2005-6, BC ave. 7200 and since then they have had a steady decline to a low of 4200 this year.

It shows that winning matters more than level of competition. To a point. This is why Creighton gets so many fans. Why BC drops with good competition. Winning and being highly ranked brings fans. This is true in the MAC too. You go from 2,000 fans to 6,000 if you're top of the conference.
