So every place UConn goes is destined to be small time, huh? Glad Big East hoops didn't feel that way. UConn national champs more times than any other member.

Tranghese used to say that the big east's biggest problem was that its big teams didn't win enough games against quality ooc competition. He might as well have been talking about the acc. To be honest.

There's the phrase punching above your weight. Problem with the old Big East and current ACC is that they don't even punch at their weight. It's not about the schools in the conference, but underperforming teams.

not sure why FSU still considers themselves a football power and says the ACC needs to get stronger in football, they can't even win an ACC championship anymore. 2005 was their last, although with VA Tech having a down year, they have a chance to win one this year
