And already shot down by David Peel who says "Navy, no way."

So, as the Village People say, "You can put your mind at ease."

I did not understand Navy as an option, either.

Louisville and UConn make sense, athletically. UConn makes sense academically. One school would replace Maryland, while the other would bring the non-football sports to 16 teams. While this leaves 15 for football, Notre Dame will be playing 5 ACC games per year anyway.

Have to assume Navy would be for FB only...
navy fits in nicely because they play can dove-tail with ND being all sports (ND and Navy share one spot), and provide the academic prestige the ACC is looking for. Also allows ACC to get to 16 schools for all sports including FB

- Uconn #14 (but 15th all sports with ND)
- UofL #15 (but 16th all sports)
- Navy #16 FB only

ESPN's Andy Katz reports that Cincinnati is making a push to join the ACC, citing a source with direct knowledge of the situation.

Katz writes: "The source said Cincinnati officials are cautiously optimistic that the Bearcats are in step with both Louisville and UConn if the ACC were to choose just one school to replace Maryland, which is headed to the Big Ten."

What else could they say: " While Uconn and Louisville are more attractive to the ACC, we are begging harder."
