St. John's coach Rick Pitino supports former Duke coach K's proposal of a mega Big East-ACC BASKETBALL only conference. One can speculate on many levels what this would mean for UC's struggling football program. The ACC football teams would find takers in the Big-10, and SEC, but where would UC end up. Additionally, what would football power ND do? Probably stay independent in football and join the mega conference. The possibilities are endless. Will it ever happen? Maybe yes, maybe no.
