Never mind.

Our UConn alumnae are definitely picking up steam.

Last night:

Sue Bird dishes out 10 assists and scored 21 points.
Breanna Stewart records a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
Kiah Stokes continues her solid play with 8 pts, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots.
Bria Hartley is beginning to warm up, scoring 10 points.
Saniya Chong scores 10 with 2 assists.

Tina Charles is Tina Charles: 21 points and 14 rebounds, plus 3 assists.
And D is D: 27 points.

The day before:

Stefanie Dolson scores 25 with 7 rebounds and a blocked shot.
Moriah Jefferson scores 18 with 4 assists and 5 steals.

So the Connecticut alumna engine is warming up!

Just hope that KML and Morgan get better soon.

Would that be the same Tina Charles that the Connecticut Sun said didn't have a commitment to winning?

Anybody else hear echos of Geno stopping a practice and saying 'in the last ten minutes Stewart hasn't touched the ball on offense - that will never happen again' when watching Seattle play? I think Sue and Breanna took one shot each in the first minute of the 4th quarter and did not get another as NY pulled away - and I see that repeat quite often when watching Seattle.

Stewie was called for 2 or 3 marginal fouls and then got too aggressive trying to block a shot by Kiah. That was her 6th. She sat out part of the 4th quarter because she had 5 fouls.

I've watched a fair amount of the Storm. Their offense seems better this year, but I still don't like seeing Langhorne shooting past 8-10' or Jewell taking high degree of difficulty shots. Sue and Stewie should get touches on almost every possession.
