ABC National News just did Katie Lou

Really hard to get buffered from this website. easier to google her and abc news. Thanks!

Poor Napheesa, just like in baseball, "America digs the long ball!" Who cares if you Out work people 3, 4, 5 inches taller than you, be under weight by 23/30/40 pounds, go 11/11 underneath the basket, block 5 shots, get 10 rebounds and get a "meh, so what" response. Don't fret NC, we truly appreciate you!!!

:)

That said...WOW KATIE LOU, WOW!

That was a superbly well mixed and narrated piece. Thanks.

A striking thing is how both celebratory Lou and her teammates were and, as well, how professionally they responded: Lou thanked her teammates, her teammates praised Lou, and they all felt that the win was more important. These kids live in the pressure cooker known as UConn WCBB, and they have learned how to respond to the media and, more importantly, how to handle public situations with relative equanimity. And if they don't, I suspect Geno and CD will "help" them feel that way. So, Lou will celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime event, but be back at practice the next day, getting yelled at for not getting offensive rebounds.

Perhaps an even more striking image of everything that has made Katie Lou's night and UConnWB historic ...

Go to 43:03 to 43:06 of the game video. And behold the eye of the storm that is Geno.

Did anyone notice who's in that frame with MJ during his shrug? That's none other than our own beloved "Uncle Cliffy", who I believe is currently a marijuana grower in Oregon. It's cool that we get images of UCONN stars past and present, and from both BB programs, in these two frames.
