AAC Pre-Season Awards

Media Day is tomorrow (I think)...in light of it, what are you predictions for the pre-season awards?

I think Boatright, Nic Moore, Shaq Goodwin and Marcus Kennedy (if eligible) would be locks for the 1st team. That fifth spot could go to a number of different people (Nichols from Memphis, Cummings from Temple, the kid from Tulsa...doubt it would be one of our guys).

POY: Probably either Moore or Boatright, and it depends on who the coaches think will win the league.

ROY: Gotta be Hamilton

COY: Do they actually give out preseason coach of the year? I can't think of a more meaningless "award."

Given that "Coach of the Year" usually means "coach of the team that outperformed expectations by the largest margin," a preseason COY award seems pretty stupid.

Really don't know much about the other teams to make a truly informed decision. From the buzz though, Hamilton may garner some 2nd team consideration and ROY.

Coach of the year will probably be Fran Dunphy. He had an extremely young team last year. Maybe Donnie Jones at UCF. Ollie, Brown, Pastner, and Cronin will have too high of expectations to be in consideration.

marcus kennedy is in danger of being ineligible ? holy crap.

also if brimah is playing 25 minutes per, he might demand an all conference selection with his block numbers
