Thursday 8/31:

Florida International @ UCF - 6pm CBSSN
Austin Peay @ Cincinnati - 7pm ESPN3
Tulsa @ Oklahoma State - 730pm FS1
Louisiana-Monroe @ Memphis - 9pm CBSSN

Friday 9/1:

Navy @ Florida Atlantic - 8pm ESPNU

Saturday 9/2:

Temple @ Notre Dame - 330pm NBC
Stony Brook @ USF - 4pm ESPN3
James Madison @ ECU - 6pm ESPN3
Houston @ UTSA - 7pm (game may be postponed due to Hurricane Harvey)
Stephen F Austin @ SMU - 7pm ESPN3
Grambling @ Tulane - 8pm ESPN3

How do you think the American does in week 1? I would expect 10-2 overall (including UConn over Holy Cross) with a possibility of 11-1 or 9-3 depending on how the Temple and Tulsa games go and if Houston is mentally ready to play at UTSA. Anything worse than 9-3 would obviously be disastrous for the conference.

I think Tulsa has the guns to compete with OK State for a while but eventually the depth at Okie lite will wear down the Golden Hurricane. Remember, TU played @ OU 2 years ago and was only down 7 at half. If (and its a big if) their D can get stops they have a chance. Will definitely have that game on the tv while streaming the UConn game.

UCF, Tulsa, Temple, ECU all at risk. 2 losses would be a good week but I see 3 or 4.

My guess is three loses and anything less is a win for the conference.

Florida International @ UCF (confidence 100%)
Austin Peay @ Cincinnati (confidence 100%)
Tulsa @ Oklahoma State (no way Tulsa keeps up with State in Oklahoma)
Louisiana-Monroe @ Memphis (confidence 100%)

Friday 9/1:
Navy
@ Florida Atlantic (confidence 100%)

Saturday 9/2:

Temple @ Notre Dame (no way Temple can beat ND at home opener)
Stony Brook @ USF (USF is a legit team this year - 100% win)
James Madison @ ECU (JMU is way too good to lose to ECU)
Houston @ UTSA - (Houston has the emotional boost from the hurricane plus great players)
Stephen F Austin @ SMU (confidence 100%)
Grambling @ Tulane (confidence 100%)

Assuming a UCONN win, the AAC will win 9 and lose 3.

Hopefully they can find a mutually beneficial date to reschedule the game between UTSA and Houston. Safety comes first obviously.

I'm not sure you appreciate the concept of probability...

Tulsa stuffs Okie Lite on the goal line to win 35-31. Second year in a row an AAC team beats a top 10 Big XII team.

:D

I prefer OSU over OU, poor program (not truly poor w/ T. Boone Pickens as a donor) seems snake bit. Examples include the play executed by Central Michigan from the snap with no time on the clock. Also, the sad off field tragedy's that have befallen verious OSU programs.

How about Lagow - Lego 40-65 406 yards 3 TD 2 INT for Indiana against OSU.

Yup, Lagow sure ended up finding a great home and will probably get drafted.

Tim Boyle starts tonight for Eastern Kentucky. Good luck to him as well.
