Houston loss hurts, but the SMU loss is the one that really puts us in a tough spot. If we had beaten them, we would be in great shape to finish in the top 3, and we would have some tiebreaker advantages.Should be a pretty interesting to see how the conference standings shake out.
There are three scenarios I know of where UConn finishes in the top 3. Most likely to me would be SMU losing their last two games and UConn winning their last two.
If UConn & Memphis both win out, and SMU beats UL there would be a 4 way tie for 2nd. UConn would get the 3 seed. In addition if Cinci somehow manages to lose at Rutgers there would be a 5 way tie for first. UConn would finish w/ the 2 seed.
The loss to Houston really coming back to haunt us during the last week of the regular season.
