BasketballRecruiting.Rivals.com - Report Card: Breaking down the early signings in the AAC

UConn (A): The Huskies checked all the boxes this fall with competitive lead guard James Akinjo, shot making wing Emmitt Matthews and interior presence Lukas Kisunas; don’t forget about Sidney Wilson, a former four-star wing, sitting out following his transfer from St. John’s.
I love how everybody got A's and B's except Memphis. I mean USF got a A-. Seems like a teacher grading on a big curve since I think all the recruits are outside the top 100.

Looks like productive recruiting for almost everyone. Could the league be making a move as a whole? As long as we are in it, you have to hope so, but only is we rise consistently into that top 3, at a minimum.

Basically. Context is important - grading recruiting for the 7th best conference. Majority of AAC teams are not expected to pull in top 100 recruits.

are we still recruiting for '18?
Yes, tho it's much more of a "let's wait and see if a top 50 comes available" than is is an active thing.

Whether it's another 2018 frosh or a postgrad, expect us to add a SG in the spring.

Carlton, Cobb, Dairra, Whaley, Kisunas - 4/5
Polley, Wilson, Matthews - 3's
Akinjo, Gilbert, Vital - Guards

Am I missing someone? I would think we need a big PG or a big SG

Either that or hopefully Jalen stays his senior year

Williams. Here's the current scholarship grid:

Bear in mind that includes Larrier & Adams for next year, which is unlikely.

I would think we need a big PG or a big SG
A big combo guard would be ideal, but those don't grow on trees.

Only 2018s we are after right now are Bryce Wills and J'Raan Brooks. Hoping we get an official from Wills.
