OT: A Whale's Tale????

Yeah I heard about that. How could you get swallowed by a giant whale and then live? Did the whale shoot him out of its blowhole?

Whale joke:

Mrs. Jones...a kindergarten teacher...is telling her class that a whale cannot swallow a person....throat not big enough.
Lilttle Sally says that she has read that Jonah got swallowed by a whale. Mrs. Jones replies 'sweetie....you can't always believe what you read." Sally gets her back up a bit and says 'when I get to heaven, I'm going to ask Jonah if he got swallowed by a whale!"

Mrs. Jones...a tad irritated now...says "well, Sally...what if Jonah is not in heaven...what then?'

Sally: " I guess YOU will have to ask him".

Geppetto & Pinocchio managed it……….

listen this stuff happens. My cousin who lives on long Island and has been fishing all of her life out of East Hampton had a similar experience. She was fishing off of montauck L.I. with her brother when a whale breached right under her fishing boat and threw her and her brother 10 feet in the air. They landed sideways and then the boat uprighted. The boat was trashed and they were seriously shaken and bruised. She said it was like an out of body experience as they flew up in the air and then came crashing down in the ocean. Other near by fisshing vessels saw and confirmed it was a whale. Just saying.

I think the word swallowed isn’t being used properly. A baleen whale takes a load of water into its mouth, pushes it out through the baleen, swallows the small fish and stuff that’s left, and takes another mouthfull. This person was probably taken into the maw.

That’s scary enough for me.

Maw? It could have been a Pa whale.

Thanks to @Ine001 for posting a Wynonie Harris tune. Guy was great. I love his version of "Drinkin' Wine Spo Dee O Dee". A dee jay in Pittsburgh played it in the sixties quite often.
