A Tip for UConn vs. Villanova.

For those of us who are really, really (Genospeak) dedicated, we will schlep to Hartford to watch the likely slow-motion carnage on display as UConn takes on Villanova.

Mrs. Kibitzer and I will attend. We have discovered a little better way of enjoying our pilgrimages to Hartford and I would like to share it with the faithful.

It used to be that parking at the big garage was payable on the way IN, but now we pay on the way OUT. We also learned (very serendipitously) that when we dine in the little restaurant in the Hilton, we can get our parking ticket validated and thus park FREE.

Works for us. Leave a little early, park the car, enjoy a nice light dinner, enjoy the game (while avoiding the dreadful and costly arena food), pick up the car and avoid the ten-buck ransom while driving out.

I know I know, spend $40 to save $10 yada yada yada. As I said, it works for us.

We had been planning on going to the season tix reception tomorrow from 5-7.
But an email I received from UConn said Geno would be speaking from (IIRC) 5:10-5:25. Don't know that I can get home from work and get downtown and into a parking spot by then (sigh). But - we will be in our seats and watching Harry's girls try to make our girls crazy by using the entire clock for every possession. Hope the team takes their patience pills tomorrow - Villanova can make you nuts.

We'll be going to the reception. The only thing that could cause a problem is if the grand kids get picked up late.

Dislike Nova's slow down style but watching Harry is a show unto itself.
