There are some of us who believe in things that can't be seen. Mojo, or BY activity effecting the outcome of games for instance. (Of which I'm a believer).
But there is another phenomenon that I've often thought about, and kind of live my sports-fandom by, even though I never realized it, nor do i know what it's called:
It's this:
No matter how good a team is in a single year, and note- I am a true believer in "any given sunday"- there are just certain uniforms that I can never see realistically hoisting a trophy. This is true in other sports but especially true in cbb.
Example: That Frank Kaminsky Wiscy team. They were really really good, but I never had that Red Jersey up there cutting down nets.
There have been years where, for example, Kansas State, or Stanford, or Illinois, are a top 1,2,3 seed, yet I never took their chances of winning the tourney seriously, simply based on program or unis. There are only a handful of teams that I can see taking home the trophy.
Even super dominant athletics 'Bama doesn't make sense to me cutting down nets.
The last time this was proven wrong was the Baylor championship team, and it felt like an anomaly and a weird dream.
