[QUOTE="diggerfoot, post: 2817105, member: 1673"] ?? Unless you count the good-natured ribbing about how often Hayes hit the floor, or really mean to say "underappreciated" rather than "criticized," I really don't see where this comment is coming from. Let's assume she is the second most criticized starter ever, second only to Conlon, the difference between the amount of criticism leveled at those two is vast. But there were others more criticized than Hayes for a variety of reasons. Some did not live up to fan expectations, like Houston. Boosters of one player have gone off on other players. The most recent example would be Chong boosters criticizing Nurse, but there have been other "rivalries" as well at a player's expense. Then you have players like Dolson who were only criticized early on, and never underappreciated, but the amount of criticism for Dolson's lack of athleticism, conditioning and rebounding for her freshman year alone would surpass Hayes's entire career. Dolson would end up being one of the most appreciated Huskies ever but, once again, the word being used here is "criticized," not "underappreciated." Anyways, I think this could be turned into a bunch of different threads, nominations for: most criticized, least criticized, most appreciated, least appreciated, etc. Hayes might very well end up high on the "least appreciated" list.
