First a Shout-Out to the Team!

A number of players made important contribution to the win.

But, most of all, I want to congratulate Bria for her continued hard work and powerful contributions to the UConn program.

Too often, IMO, we have come to take Bria and her consistent contributions for granted.

She is valued and much appreciated.

And best of all, we will have her for two more years.

Peace,

:D

Nobody is better at putting pressure on opponents' transition defense than Bria Hartley. While she makes boo-boos in this regard from time to time, the beauty of her mentality is that she continues to get better at a rapid rate, much more quickly than those who are tentative.

She doesn't let s*%&t faze her in the half court, either. And her defensive effectiveness is miles ahead of last year.

Bria is the real deal !

Bria is one of the most underrated players in the country!

I disagree. I think anyone who is a fan of WBB knows what Hartley is made of. She is simply BIG TIME against top rated opponents. Her only flaw is being in the same league as Diggins, who is the darling of the media.

2nd team all american when she should be on 1st

I would love to see her first team AA but I think that clear 1st team at this time are Ogwumike, Griner, Diggins, EDD and Sims.

It's not etched in stone. Hartley can still overtake Sims with more exceptional performances. I'll be rooting for her.

wow so no strickland or glory johnson on ur 1st AA team? lol
No, not at this point. DD's list for now is pretty close to correct. Glory or Shekinna might move up but that first five is pretty solid.

Don't give the voters too much credit. Some seem to vote based on last year's list, as if they haven't seen a game all year.

Stricklen's injury hurt her but she is probably going to be the SEC player of the year again and will garner a number of votes.

I think Sticklen will be first team and Sims will not.
