My opinions of Dennis DuVal are understandably biased given that we grew up in the same closely knit neighborhood six blocks apart. For as long as I can remember, he was someone to whom I always looked up.
His basketball skill set was at least ten years ahead of its time as he found himself compelled to tone down his style at Syracuse in order to comply with the expected standard of the time. With all the talk of his scoring ability, what is often overlooked is Dennis's incredible court vision. He is, far and away, the best passer I have ever seen or played with at any level.
