Was at the Marriott/Brooklyn Bridge for my daughters wedding which began at 6 PM (game time) so I never saw any of the game. Both teams were staying in the hotel with a half dozen Maryland players across the hall. Chatted a few times with Jon Graham (#25) on Friday afternoon; what a nice kid. Told him that I couldn't wish him good luck and his team would have the rest of the season to recover from their upcoming UConn loss.
My granddaughter came down the elevator with who I think was Phil Nolan -he had ice packs on both knees before the game and he was really pleasant. I never saw any UConn players and the hotel was filled with Maryland fans. This of course gave me the opportunity to innocently ask Maryland fans who won.
A great win to start the real season!

You've raised your child poorly - choosing a wedding date opposite the season opener vs. Maryland? C'mon. If it was Coppin State, maybe I'd reluctantly give her a pass, but this is clearly an attempt to get back at you for something.

(I kid, of course - congrats!)
