Sellout, loud environment, team that knows us well. We beat the spread.

We controlled the game throughout. Napier was special. We played around the Daniels injury. Nice contribution from most of the line up, Boat, Giffey, AB, Kromah, heck even Samuel made some noise.

Not a perfect game. A good win on the road.

I think Nolan had the strongest no stat game in the history of the league (AAC). We have no goat this game. We won in the paint on both ends of the floor. Diversification in winning is good!

I sure would like to see Napier v. Kemba match up in a couple of years.

Wow we will miss Bazz. I think we all agree that is one bad Rutgers team. Better teams can throw a good defender in 1 on 1 man and zone us like the old box and one. We need to win when Bazz scores ten. As many have said we will go as far as DD takes us.

Had a lot of fun at the RAC tonight. Really good UConn turnout. Loved that the South Windsor CT travel team was one of their honored guests.I'd hate to sound like an RU football fan but we (uconn fans) owned the upper deck on the team bench side. It was really apparent how many uconn fans were there after the RU contingent left with 4 minutes left of what was only a 6 or 8 pt game.

Beside the win, the best part about the game was the reffing. In my opinion this was one of the best reffed games this season. They missed very few calls and were fair both ways. Such a pleasure especially after the Louisville game.

This is not a knock, especially in light of what has gone on in the past two weeks of Ryan's life. We need someone on the coaching staff to get Boat to figure out when he has a lane to the hoop that is unobstructed and when he is driving into the trees and will get his shot blocked. He needs to take the midrange J when it is there. He needs to recover from offensive mistakes and play better defense the whole possession. If Ryan can up his game and the Bigs can keep working hard, improving and staying positive we could make the final 8 or best case scenario 4.

I feel he has improved some of his decision making. You are right though that he has to learn when to pull up and take the shot. He has learned to slow down and read the situation and is making better decisions. In my opinion he has played the past 6-8 games.

Disagree, he has to attack the hoop when he gets a step. He is so creative that he can invent shots close in. Yep, he will get some blocked. But the fact that the defense has to account for him going to the rim helps the entire offense.

It would be much worse if he lost his aggressive nature.

Will always appreciate a road win at the RAC.Shabazz bailed everyone out.

ABSOLUTELY!!! I am sure that we all have "RAC Stories" covering the best and the worst of UCONN teams. Your comment was wonderfully understated; but very big in meaning because, as I texted my son during tonight's game, "The RAC" has always been good for some "hair pulling, screaming and yelling, nail biting hoops action for any team with UCONN on the jersey". My face looked somewhere between this  , this  and this  during most games and ,hopefully, ended like this :D like tonight. So The Rogers, "Will always appreciate a road win at the RAC" is right on the money to say the least ! Talk about being quietly loud......

GO HUSKIES!!!
TIME FOR SOME COUGAR PAYBACK!!

It seems like Boat had a better midrange game when he first got here then he does now, he's all but abdandoned it when you compare him to his freshman year. One of the things I was encouraged by in watching his HS clips was how advanced his midrange game was, and he showed it alot his freshman year. Kind of weird that it would disappear from his game when he sees how effective the midrange game is for Bazz.

Rutgers fans on their board are furious with the refs. A lot of them think they were the reason Rutgers lost.

Wished we fed Brimah the ball down low a couple times in the second half. But otherwise, a good win. Shabazz is strengthening his grip on AAC POY and 1st team AA.

Love how Brimah was going straight up for blocks and rebounds with both hands.

Ollie is now 36/50 on his career. Not a bad start. Plus/minus 72% winning percentage for career to end the regular season this year?

The continuation call was a bit much and there was an out of bounds or two that should have gone their way, but seemed like they were in double bonus before we were in single both halves...

They got called for 1 more foul than us and we only took 5 more FTs. And that's with them giving a few fouls in the last minutes. Refs were mind bogglingly awful all around tonight though. They would call a ton of fouls for a few minutes then decide to swallow their whistle for a while. The double foul on Judge/Phil that they are whining about was the right call though. Phil pushed him and Judge pushed him back. Judge then made a horribly foolish foul for his fifth moments later. The real reason they lost is because Bazz just couldn't miss and they don't have the horses to keep up with a player like him.

We are going to need all 3 centers to play well to get anywhere in the tournament. Brimah with the soft touch on the free throws and around the rim, now rebounding better, has an upside that boggles the mind. Nolan looked quicker tonight so he must be back to full strength after being sick.

Brimah really seems to be making progress on both ends.
I really noticed that this game. Very exciting to see- he is making progress at a faster clip then most bigs I can remember.

Yeah they were in the Bonus with 12 minutes left in the 2nd half and Bonus + with about 7 or 8 left…….the refs were the reason they were in the game. And Kadeem Jack was 11-14 from the line and he's a 50% shooter……they're too funny!

The stripes were equally awful both ways……..it's depressing watching a defender hold his spot and the offensive guy makes the contact and they blow the whistle on the defender? They are making this new rule very painful…….

He will still have ups and downs and is really raw offensively still but man he grown a ton in the past few months.

Rutgers is a garbage school and a garbage basketball program that makes one mind boggling decision after another within their athletic department. They should be furious with having literally won nothing in the history of any of their sports. When your team is 8-12, refs are the least of your worries.

After watching it again, the only two really bad calls were the Samuel and-1 which was an NBA and-1 but not college and the 5th Wally Judge foul. That was just soft, IMO. Lots of soft fouls, but against both teams. Refs were fairly consistent on how they called contact on both sides.
