As I was watching the SEC Championship, I broke one of the 10 Commandments: "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's goods." As I watched LSU's Mingo on pass rush, I was wondering how much he would have helped UConn had he actually signed when he visited, instead of just taking in a men's hoops game on UConn's tab. I watched in awe as the Bengals bruising rb was tearing up the Georgia defense & could only think about how well he would compliment McCombs. As I watched the "Honey Badger" in action, I could only think wistfully about what such a player would add to the UConn defensive backfield & how the opposition's special teams coach would be having nightmares.
Then I viewed the Bedlam matchup & could only surmise how UConn would have faired against the Sooners if the Fiesta Bowl had been played in last evening's conditions. Landry Jones was obviously affected by the cold weather. Okie State's defense played lights out.
