Sacramento State launched 79 threes (19 made) against CAL and 112 (37 made) field goals total.

Sounds like Sac. St. plays an offense like Grinnell.

Not quite sure I get the strategy for Sac State, unless the feeling is that the 3-pt shooters will only develop if they shoot an obscene amount of 3s. This year they are averaging 44.8 3pt FGAs per game and hitting them at a very bad rate of 27.9%. At least last year when they averaged 39.7 3pt FGAs a game they converted 31.7%, which made it probably a wash with the 2-point options. Last year they finished 1st nationally in made 3pters per game at 12.5, while this year because of the worse percentage they are only sitting in 3rd, so I guess the idea is to keep jacking more up so that the volume of attempts covers the higher miss rate and allow them again to be national 3pt champions making 3 out of every 11 attempts.

Don't think Geno would go for it.
