Please tell me I'm not the only person in the world who suspects Cameron Brink is channeling the neighbor girl from Spider Man 2 (actress Mageina Tovah). There's kind of a vague resemblance, but the braided pigtails puts it over the top. Come on, y'all can see it now, right?

I have to agree, although Cameron's braids start higher (on the sides of her head) and she may be more camera friendly.

Cameron Brink scored a team-high 16 points and had seven rebounds in the 83-38 win at Cal.

I saw Heister's name above, but it still catches me off guard every time I hear the voice of the Gonzaga men's team calling games for WSU.

Lexie in double figures already, 5-6 shooting.

Brink avoiding fouls and getting Murekatate in foul trouble. Cameron isn't scoring but has 3 assists, 3 reb 1 steal 2 blocks (at least).

25-9. The Leger-Walkers aren't getting shots up and the rest of the Cougs aren't nearly good enough to make up for it.

I kept thinking if you can stop the Leger-Walkers, WSU doesn't have much. I guess easier said than done, but Stanford is certainly doing it so far.

Yeah, it looks like Stanford is intentionally daring the other players to shoot while focusing inside or on the Leger-Walkers. A brilliant stratagem by Tara so far this game.

If Prechtel and Brink keep playing like this, you have to feel for Fran Belibi who will likely continue to get pushed back in the pecking order.

Brink sinks a three, Prechtel comes in and says, look ma, I can do that too!

Honestly, I wonder if Stanford got a pep in their step when they realized that they're heading home after this game. I don't care who you are, playing on the road or away from home the entire season is going to be rough.

Not sure why nobody else has done that. Maybe they'll see a steady diet from now on until the other Cougs prove they can do something.

It often depends on whether Mureketete can produce or one of the other interior posts are able to step it up. In a game where Stanford can shut down the inside with Brink, it becomes easier for them to use their length to deny the Leger-Walkers the ball. On some level, this is the Stanford defense clicking at a functional level that we haven't seen in a few games.

It's also scary that Stanford managed to keep their TO's down. If the offense can do that consistently, watch out.

Teder leading WSU in FGA at 8 can't really be what Ethridge is looking for. Other than going off in the first game against Oregon St., she's hardly done anything this season.

Ragged start to Q3 for Stanford. Scoreless for 3 1/2 minutes. But WSU has only chipped 5 off the lead.

WOW! I mean -- WOW! I really did think this game could be a good one.

BTW...for you history and trivia buffs...44-18 was the halftime lead NC State had on #2 North Carolina the night of February 16, 2007, when the basketball court inside historic Reynolds Coliseum was named Kay Yow Court in honor of the late, great Kay Yow, who coached NC State for 34 seasons. NC State went on to defeat UNC that night, 72-65.

Sitting on a 26 point lead halfway thru is nice, but Stanford can't sleepwalk thru the rest of the game. WSU heating up behind the arc and the Card racking up turnovers. 49-29 midway thru Q3.

She does have 12 points now, so if she gets going, it forces Stanford to defend her and takes some attention off the Leger-Walkers.
