6 players on pre-season watch lists—more than can possibly start!

So the Huskies have more players on pre-season watch list than can start. I wonder if that's ever happened before?

The six are Williams, Fudd, Bueckers, Juhasz, Nelson-Ododa, and Edwards.

We also have two returning starters, Muhl and Westbrook. So, maybe only three of the six start.

Plus Ducharme, who can shoot comfortably (and accurately) from 28 feet, athletic defensive stopper Griffin, and more.

November 14 can`t come soon enough!

Keep in mind that most of WBCA position awards are relatively new. Four of the awards The Cheryl Miller Award (SF) , The Katrina McClain Award (PF), The Lisa Leslie Award (C) & The Ann Meyers Drysdale Award (SG) were all first presented in 2018. The Nancy Lieberman Award (PG) has a longer history and was first presented in 2000. But to answer your question I don't recall any team ever having more all 5 starters (much less (6) players on a watch list. The 2017-18 team had 4 players (Gabby (SF), Napheesa (PF), Kia (PG) and Azura Stevens (c)) all on the pre-season watch list.
IMO that 4 could have easily been expanded to 6 to actually match the positions being played which was Crystal (PG) , Kia (SG), Gabby ( C) Napheesa & Azura (PF) and KLS (SF).
