With 50 seconds left in that pillow fight we now call a conference loss...The Huskies still had the ball w/ 50 seconds left and the opportunity to go 2for1 in the last minute....Out of a TO how in the world do you not look to get that advantage!!! At the absolute worst you miss and temple goes on to score but you have at least given yourself a shot at tying or even winning the game on the next sequence with more time than two ticks and a prayer...

Of course if this doesn't work for you....FOUL SOMEBODY WHEN YOU HAVE A FOUL TO GIVE!!!!
Sorry I couldn't resist--- Thats just BBall 101

Two for one is a nice gimmick at the end of the half. However, when the game is on the line, you want to run a set that gives you the best chance to tie or go ahead.
If you take a rushed shot and do not score and then other team comes down and hits a basket, the last possession is not going to score 4/5 points.

Precisely. And you could see Temple hedge on the play and send two guys at DHam who was clearly looking to pass. Whatever play that was called got blown up. At that point you don't heave something just to play the clock right.

They had plenty of opportunities to score at the end of the game. Purvis was wide open for 3 point shot in the corner and it went in and out They shot 30% all game and it wasn't because of Temple's defense. DHam was rushing his shots, and even Miller, Enoch and Cassell took some ill-advised long distance bombs.

Almost no one in college does this because few teams score on over 50% of possessions. It's better to attack and play defense if you score. If you miss you foul.

The only thing KO did wrong was leaving guys in the game too long who were not getting it done or making bad decisions. The last two minutes were fine coaching wise.

We tried to get a quick hit, and ran 3 guys off immediate screens. They didn't get open.
