Current FIFA Rankings included. I realize FIFA Rankings are not perfect ... but a good place to start a discussion.

Pot 1 -- United States (32), Brazil (6), Mexico (22), and Argentina (2)
Pot 2 -- Chile (5), Colombia (8), Ecuador (13), and Uruguay (11)
Pot 3 -- Costa Rica (31), Haiti (65), Jamaica (51), and Panama (60)
Pot 4 -- Bolivia (72), Paraguay (42), Peru (43), and Venezuela (81)

I want the US to advance ... but I want them to be tested too!

Thanks for posting. Wow, the US 'should' advance from whatever group they draw, but will have a hard time advancing out of the QF's.

Here's to hoping El Tri draw Chile, Costa Rica, and Paraguay; while the US draws Ecuador, Panama (I think Haiti is grossly under rated, they are coming on strong the past couple years), and Venezuala.

THE USMNT couldn't have asked for a tougher draw... WTF
THey get the highest rated teams from pot 3 & 4, and the second highest rated from Pot B. Yikes. They open with Colombia.

Mexico, on the other hand, got about the best possible draw they could have asked for.

Considering what the FBI just did to CONCACAF and FIFA, this really a surprise?

I am actually OK with who the US drew from Pod 2 as I view Chile and Uruguay as tougher teams, though I maybe in the minority. No question that the US did get the toughest teams from Pods 3 and 4 though in Costa Rica and Paraguay. The US has to win both Costa Rica and Paraguay games to hope to advance. When will the locations for these games be announced? Need a home crowd.

If you look at it from the perspective of the US not being the host ... not much would have been different.

Thanks, I saw this this morning and if the US comes in second, their quarterfinal game would be at MetLife. I can make it to the Linc in 2 1/2 hours from my house easy. Need to look-up ticket prices when my wife is not home.

Here's the knockout stage brackets:

June 16 – Seattle: Winner Group A v Runner-up Group B
June 18 – Foxborough: Winner Group D v. Runner-up Group C
These two winners play in Houston

June 17 – East Rutherford: Winner Group B v. Runner-up Group A
June 18 – Santa Clara: Winner Group C v. Runner-up Group D
These two winners play in Chicago

So per my crystal ball it will be Colombia v Ecuador in Seattle, Argentina v Mexico in Foxboroough, Brazil v US in Jersey, and Uruguay v Chile in SC

I am thinking along the same lines.

Though, I do wonder what exactly Trump will have to save about Mexico and Argentina having a soccer match in Boston. Will he try to build a wall around the Razor?
