"The Huskies will head to Chestnut Hill, MA on Saturday, October 18, 2025 to face the Eagles at Alumni Stadium for the first of four games now scheduled with BC. The full UConn 2025 schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.

UConn will host the Eagles at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field during the 2029 (Oct. 20) and 2031 (Aug. 30) seasons and travel back up to BC in the 2030 season (Sept. 14)."

I keep reading her that the UMass game is out but my UMass friend says they want to keep UConn on the schedule. Appears not in 2025. The advantages are its close, and they have been pushing it as a rivalry game and we are willing to play them in Amherst.

I suspect it will be a pretty regular game in the future (even more so if UConn stays independent). This year was especially an anomaly because of how many games UMass already had scheduled for 2025 before joining the MAC (including buy games they would have to pay penalties for cancelling). I would assume there is mutual interest between UConn and UMass, especially if both programs continue to find their footing. Once they are more or less settled into their MAC schedule I would suspect these games to occur nearly every year. Hopefully the Battle for the Southwick Jug lives on for many, many years.

i could be completely wrong, but somehow the distant future games make me feel like this "agreement" isn't about the other 3 games, but rather just this first one. the other 3 being an insurance policy, so to speak. feels like both teams would be hoping that the 3 games never happen because they have found bigger things to do (UConn - big12 schedule... BC - playing someone else).

with this context ^, is it possible that BC is paying us a little bit for coming out to them, to sweeten the deal in '25?

I doubt they’re paying us. Our schedules are pretty much full up through 2028, so it makes sense the 3 games are that far in the future. However, it could be worth noting that those games are scheduled in the first few weeks of those seasons in the normal non conference window, as opposed to Oct/Nov like we’ve been doing with other northeastern teams

Still need one more game, board rumor is that it is Air Force at home.
No 2025 UConn bye weeks until 10/25, then 11/15. Less than ideal. Perhaps some schedule horse trading/rejigging continues involving multiple schools (currently scheduled & potential to schedule).
