That question was on the post game and not legacy show. But a valid point, and I think it is probably because when you think of Moore it is her whole game and not the beauty of her 3 point shot. Her work around the basket and in the mid-range was probably more important than her 3 ball. I thought Geno made a very interesting distinction between great shooting and clutch shooting. For clutch shooting he cited Sue and Diana, and the comment on Sue was she would miss every shot until it really mattered and then she never missed. And on Diana, that she probably made more important contest shots than anyone else.why no mention of Maya Moore on Geno's Legacy show? I think she was pretty good
clutch means "close games"... Maya didnt have many and KML just had one against ND. So does that mean they parity is much wider these days? That question was on the post game and not legacy show. Well, when you talk magin of victory, tina/maya were close to dee/sue.clutch means "close games"... Maya didnt have many and KML just had one against ND. So does that mean they parity is much wider these days?
cant be clutch when you're on the bench with 8 minutes left in the 2nd half
If you just look at the stats (no clutch/pressure shots factor) then Wendy Davis is probably the best all time. She is 3rd all time in made 3 point shots behind Taurasi and Strother and 2nd all time in 3 point percentage behind Bird.
Moore is 5th and 3rd respectively. She averaged 2.2 three point shots per game, about the same as Taurasi. Maya Moore averaged 2.1.
Didn't Davis have a nickname - Slick?
Speaking for myself with a big game on the line I would pick Bird to take the shot.
You must mean the kid that many on BY thought should never have been given a UConn scholarship. Let me think....oh yeah...you must mean the one and only Valley Girl Maria Conlon. How about that short, slow kid. She was pretty good from behind the line.
Actually she is, but they don't have her listed there in the Media Guide. If you look at her individual stats, Strother was 290/770 (37.7%).Maya Moore is second all time in 3 pointers made. I do not think Ann Strother is among UConn's Top 5.

I agree with Meyers and Ice. Kaleena could break the career record as a junior. Stay healthy!
I think I'd take Sue too. Prior to the Bird at the Buzzer game, she also hit a half-court shot at the buzzer in practice.
In Seattle's most recent championship season, she was a combo of Reggie Miller and Robert Horry.
Sue apparently has the NCAA season record at over 49%. Kaleena and Maggie Lucas are challenging it this season.
She was really good at that. I read from the Horde this week that Sue's percentage was both the UConn and NCAA record. Maybe it was not fully accurate. I'd love to see Kaleena surpass that mark. If only she'd get hot.I believe Alicia Ratay holds the record for best 3pt. % in a season at 54% in the 2001-Notre Dame NC season. Not that I like it or even liked typing it, but that record will probably never be broken.
