Excited about this game to see if the Ducks can beat Stanford 3 times in a year, which I don't think has ever been done to a Tara V team. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can correct me if I'm wrong. I also find it interesting how little respect the Stanford players have received nationally, as compared to the Ducks. It seems crazy to me that Stanford doesn't have a single finalist for the Wooden award when the Ducks have 3 and the PAC12 has 6 of the 15. When was the last time Stanford didn't have one of the top 15 players in the country? I would have thought Kiana would have been on the list. We'll see if that adds some motivation for the Trees to take out the Ducks.

Upset Special Pick: Stanford by 4 as Hull sisters, Dodson, and Fingall force Oregon's Big Three to shoot over the top of them and contest everything.

If the PAC-12 officials allow significant interior contact (as they usually do) and don't provide superstar calls in favor of Ionescu, Hebard, and Sabally, the Cardinal has a chance tonight.

The over/under for the number of times Sabally falls to the floor tonight is 6.5.

Ha. This suddenly reminded me of a player from years gone by. Emily Florence was a minuscule PG at UW w/ a fearless attitude. I think she spent about as much time knocked to the ground as she did standing upright during any given game.

The big difference is that Sabally is physically strong, yet consistently embellishes any real or imagined contact and falls to the ground like a veteran NBA player. Have watched her do this for the past three years and in international play. She is a sturdy 6'4" and typically dishes out more than she receives, but is very crafty and that gets her to the line regularly. If the refs tonight allow their customary PAC-12 contact, we will see Sabally hit the ground with nothing to show for it. That may prompt her to remain upright more than usual. She will need to play through contact in the WNBA in two months.

Interesting, this score is similar to the way Stanford-UCLA started last night, but has a different feel to it.

First time in a while where Sabrina and the Ducks seem to be playing under pressure.

Ionescu w/ a big push off gets her defender on the ground, then as one of the Hulls tried to get back on her fouls her on a 3. I like her, but she gets away with a lot.

Stanford is going brain dead, keeps fouling Ionescu when she's shooting. After going scoreless in Q1 Sabrina has scored 8 in less than 2 minutes.

Stanford ice cold and in a scoring drought. They need to respond before this gets out of hand.

Add another bucket. She and Williams have gone in opposite directions, Kiana has done nothing in Q2.

Stanford finally scores, was probably close to 4 minutes. 31-24 media TO, Moore shooting FTs when we come back.

The daring Moore to score strategy is really not paying off today. She has 9 on 3-4 FG.

Falling into the 3 pointer trap. Got to drive.

Sabally with two trips to the floor so far without a foul being called. Not an offensive factor as yet.

Moore getting it done on both ends.

Ha ha. They are putting up the Baylor/Oregon side by side resume comparison. How was this ever a question? It was always ridiculous to have Baylor #2 overall.
