I’ve watched this sequence many times, but still can’t figure ou what the call was.
At 1:54 to go in the 3rd quarter Collier fouls Shepard. The following sequence happens.
Shepard misses the first shot, Nelson-Ododa tries to replace Collier , but the officials say no and
Collier returns to the court.
With Nelson-Ododa back to the scorer’s table Dee Kantner, behind her, signals 2 shots.
Shepard gets 2 more shots, misses the first, but makes the second.
Announcers never indicate what happened to give Shepard 3 shots. Didn’t appear to be a lane
violation. The only thing I can think of would be an illegal substitution, but the scorer’s table blew the
horn and apparently allowed Nelson-Ododa onto the court
Anybody have any idea what they called that gave Shepard the extra shot?
