Last year during Creighton they were sold out before the general public was allowed to enter. I think the students get in 45 minutes before.

I was in line last year ready to grab two of the 12 oz. $2 beers, and they sold out. All of a sudden, some guy came barreling through the crowd with a skid of 16 oz. Miller Lites that they were obviously charging for.

I do wish I had a picture of the burial ground behind the student section. It was just a pyramid of empty beer cans, because as someone alluded to, the students were let in early.

They did damage that night.

Makes you wonder. Maybe they didn’t want to do it at Gampel again because of how many more students are there? My thought is, if you’re trying to get people to come in for the crummy games, then don’t do this for the one good game, X on BE opening night. Do it to make people like me feel better about attending a late Wednesday night game against DePaul in January (and by the way I’ll be commuting from Boston)

Nice. I was wondering if they had anything decent on tap. I always grab a can of counterweight or sip because the lines are shorter.

The Fanatics bar is the best one at XL in terms of value for quality. All the drafts are 24 oz and are 15 bucks. There are multiple ipas and other beer styles available. Beats 15 bucks for a Bud lite or Miller lite can.

Last season, on occasional Fridays, the Wolfpack had $2 beer/$2 hotdog nights at XL. Better yet, the promotion lasted until the puck dropped to begin the SECOND period. All beers were eligible. I think it's back again this year.
