What a circus. I'll never understand people who insist on trying to turn the CFP into March Madness. Football is a violent sport. We don't need to see Arkansas State play Michigan for the same reason we don't need to see China's military in action against Slovenia's. God only produced so many 6'6, 320 lb'ers that move like receivers, and they don't typically end up in the Sun Belt or even the Big 12 for that matter. Ask the TCU team from a couple years ago. The sport was perfect the way it was. The charm of bowl season was that it pitted you against a like opponent. The infatuation some folks have with tournaments/playoffs is bordering on a mental illness at this point. Somewhere along the line, someone decided that the only way you could enjoy a sporting event anymore was to be bombarded with constant reminders about what's at stake. It's like we forget sometimes that a game is a game and has no bearing on the real world regardless of whether it's artificially considered to be part of a "playoff" or not. The word has lost all meaning and merely exists now as a marketing ploy. I still don't consider OSU the real champ last year because I watched them lose two times in what used to be the actual playoff - the season. I'm too young to sound this old, but gosh they make it hard!
