My impression this season was that there were more people in the stadium this year than in recent memory. Often times there are alot of people milling around the concourse and not in their seats, especially in the first half, which tends to make the stadium (especially the lower bowl) look less full than it is. When the student section is mostly empty (as it was Friday) that will also give the impression of fewer people in the stadium than there actually is.
