These are the only guys I've read a peep about in a while, but don't really have a great feel of where we stand with any of them. Felt the best about Ellis by far out of anyone we recruited, so it's now sort of back to the drawing board.

Longino and Diggins both seem to be Nova leans...so best case scenario at this point I think would be:

PG - Hunter
SG - Hawkins/Riley
SF - Allen
PF - Johnson

I THINK these guys are all realistic, but again, don't have a great feel as to where we really stand with any of them. I also don't think we ultimately take 4 high school kids; I think getting 2 in the summer/fall is the most likely outcome, and holding the last 2 scholarships for the spring to get maybe a decommit/reclass, and a transfer with the last scholarship (if we end up with 4 open, which seems likely).

My own preference is using 2 scholarships this fall for class 2021 and keeping anything additional open for the musical chairs at the end of 2021 season as Mooch82 says. My list for 2021 is short so far. I'd love to have 1 or 2 from among Tyrese Hunter, Jordan Hawkins, Quincy Allen. 1 Big from among Mac Etienne / Samson Johnson.
I like Elijah Hutchins Everett but his position seems pure center and I want to pin my hopes on Clingan in 2022. I've yet to see Nate Santos play as well as his ranking, but I'd love to be wrong because a 6'7 shooter would be great. Add him to the mix of Hunter, Hawkins, Allen, if Santos is worthy in the opinion of the staff.

Right now I'd sign up for a class of Hunter and Riley in the fall and then put the full court press on Keels. Worst case we have 2 open spots for the spring exodus from other schools

why do you like Riley more than Hawkins at SG?

There's just something about Riley that I really like. I'd 100% take Hawkins though, any of Hawkins/Longino/Diggins would be great. Just seems like those may be tougher battles to win.

Leaving out Hawkins was honestly mostly from reading 247's article on him rising in their rankings and not mentioning us with the teams recruiting him

Michigan just landed SF Barnes. Thinking this is nice sign for folks hoping to land Keels. Keels looks great. That is the guy I hope commits to Nova soon.

I think the idea of recruiting two HS kids and two transfers is a great strategy. With the Covid crisis looking like there is no end site, I think there be will dozens of transfers available next year from a pool of Northeast kids who decided to travel to the South and Midwest and are looking to return home. As an added bonus, unlike other years, I think a bunch of these transfers will have 2 years or more of eligibility.

I think the thought is Keels is likely to go UVA, Duke or Nova. Longingo would be a good get! ACC folks ( many of whom seem legit disgusted that a recruiting target would turn down their offer) getting cranky is always entertaining.

We could really use a player like Warley. I think he’s overrated as a 5 Star but he fits our needs. A big smart combo guard would be perfect.

I haven't seen any connection with him and UConn but would love if Gaffney could convince him to come here

There was a player from Western NY that looked great on his video. Is he on this list? Can't remember his name.

Roddy Gayle and apparently now Jalen Bradberry are the only WNY guys we’re in touch with, but Jalen just moved to 2022 and Roddy was always 2022. Not sure the level of interest w Bradberry but Roddy seems to be a top target for 22. This list is exclusively 21 guys.

We should offer Casey Simmons as a shooting guard prospect in 2021. He’s playing ball in nearby Mass and is really good. He should be our plan B for Hawkins.

He has a way higher upside than Poplar or Blakes, and would be a better fit.

Looks like Simmons already has his list cut to 7 ... not sure we'd be able to just start sneaking in there.

Rankings aside, who among our PG targets do we have the best shot with? Who do we really want? I'm most concerned with the PG position at the moment, and probably least concerned with C.

of the 4 remaining PGs we've offered (sallis, diggins, hunter, and freeman) it sounds like the only 2 we're involved with are diggins and hunter, with diggins a heavy nova lean...so Hunter i guess?

I like the two local '22 point guards- Avery Brown and Dasonte Bowen.
