Chelsea Nelson had a monster game, with 30 points, a career high, on 10 of 13 shooting, and grabbed 7 boards. Nelson was joined in double-figures by the normal supporting cast of Kiara Leslie, Ace Konig and Akela Maize, who scored 11, 11 and 15 points respectively. The Wolfpack Women shot 42.3% for the game, and converted on 28 of 33 FT attempts. NC State outrebounded Pitt 37-23 and had 11 steals.

Pitt was paced by Yacine Diop, who scored 20 points on 9 of 17 shooting, including 2 of 4 from THREE, while Jasmine Whitney and Kalista Walters added 15 for the Panthers, which shot 52.4% for the game.

NC State closes out the regular season Sunday at #5 Notre Dame. They had better come out focused defensively and not allow Notre Dame to deal a punishing blow right from the get go, as Pitt attempted to tonight. The Panthers did have a 23-14 lead at one point in the 1st quarter before NC State went on an  8-0 run to end the 1st quarter.
