Would like to see Yale make some noise.

That would be a major miracle given their season performance. Record below. Even though I despise the team the team with the best chance to make a super regional from Northeast would be BC.
  • Quad 1 Record: 0–0
  • Quad 2 Record: 0–0
  • Quad 3 Record: 3–6–1
  • Quad 4 Record: 27–7–0
  • Final RPI: No. 145

That’s why I said I would “like to see Yale make some noise”… the reality is they have a rough draw clear across the country but Hamm is a good coach and has a few solid arms that could make things interesting if they are on. Liklihood of a Super Regional appearance isn’t in the cards but it’s what makes college baseball fun.

St John just took down Florida State 6-5.

Crazy ass day across the country.
I watched this game. St. John's scored three in the eighth to tie it and won it in the ninth. FSU's reliever Armstrong had two WPs in the eighth to help score a few runs for St. John's. St. John's was something like 1-22 when trailing in the eighth. Tough to win in Tallahassee as UConn learned a few years ago in the Super Regional.

I don’t think all that many P4s are hammering out 34 scholarships and a bunch of NIL. I think it is a few. The talent gap is not that big as of now. And that’s not just my opinion based on today. I think so much goes into football that P4 baseball is not accelerating their spend all that much.

forget about the schools offering 34 scholarships - St.Johns and Northeastern are in the dance and Uconn is sitting home watching. Program has gone backwards

Well the Virginia Tech dream season that found itself awarded with a trip to the regionals (despite a 30-25 record) came to an end tonight, losing to a 51-7 UCLA team, 6-5.

Milwaukee, who entered tournament play at 25-31, beat Auburn to a pulp and is now beating up UCF 5-0 in the 2nd inning.

Kansas beats Arkansas 5-3. They’ll meet winner of Northeastern vs Arkansas game.

If the Oklahoma and Georgia Tech game were an MLB playoff game, pundits would've been talking for days about the umpires' refusal to pull the teams from the field in the face of the deluge. As it stands, there's a weather delay going on a half hour and GT has pulled ahead, 8-3.

One thing is apparent watching many of these games. This is a very important off season in Storrs. Our team this year didn't show an ounce of the comptiveness, grit, excitement, and baseball IQ of many of the teams I watched this weekend. Major soul searching to do by Penders and his staff.
